Celebrated media personality, Muthoni Wa Mukiri has shared her life experiences from moving out of her parents home to starting a new life at Nairobi’s Roysambu area.
Wa Mukiri revealed that she survived on Milk and Mandazis after her gas ran out and she had no money for a refill.
Almost 10 years ago I used to live in a bedsitter in Roysambu after I moved out of home.My gas/meko had ended and I had no cash to refill it.
I only had 25 shillings on me, I took the cash went bought milk and 2 mandazis and went back to the house.
When I went back to the house I cried so much after taking that food, I knew I could do better than that.I had big dreams, so I told God that such a life was not my portion.’
She further went on to add,
“I even thought of going back to live with my parents.I however decided to stay and borrowed some cash to last me till end month.”
“I would borrow one person and pay the next person and the cycle continued until I started getting acting jobs.I also started getting called for interviews, before I landed on my media career,” She stated.
She also added that one should not give up in life and should always strive to make their dreams come true.
