How Police Traced Car Belonging to Jackson Bambo few Hours After Stabbing Ohangla Dancer Sheila Odoyo to his Death

A vehicle registered under the name of Jackson Bambo, the spouse of Sheila Odoyo, a prominent Ohangla dancer known as “Sheila Wegesha,” has been discovered in a Nairobi parking lot. This revelation comes in the wake of Odoyo’s tragic demise, having been found deceased in their shared residence at Hill View Estate in Kitengela on Thursday, May 9th.

Bambo, aged 45, has been identified as a person of interest in the investigation into Odoyo’s murder. Reports indicate that he departed from their residence in a Mitsubishi Outlander late Wednesday night, around 1 am.

Following diligent efforts by law enforcement, the vehicle was located in a car park adjacent to Kencom in Nairobi’s city center. The discovery was facilitated by information provided by a car park attendant, who noted that Bambo left the vehicle there approximately around 2:30 am. Before departing with three bags, he entrusted the attendant with the car keys and remitted Sh450 as parking fees.

Utilizing tracking technology, authorities successfully traced the vehicle and subsequently transported it to the Athi River Police Station for further examination.

Wesley Langat, the head of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCIO) in Athi River, emphasized the pursuit of Bambo, citing that his last known phone signal was detected in Narok at 6:26 am before being deactivated. Langat affirmed Bambo’s status as the primary suspect, asserting the determination of law enforcement to apprehend him, stating, “He may attempt to flee, but he will find no refuge from justice.”
