Helicopter of Christ: Bishop Wahome Now Driving Same Car as ex-President Uhuru

Controversial city preacher Bishop Thomas Wahome, the founder of Helicopter of Christ Ministries, has resurfaced after staying away from the limelight for some time. Wahome had diverted his efforts to other businesses after some Kenyan preachers were accused of duping followers with miracles to make ends meet in 2014.

In 2014, Wahome claimed that God had given him a special register containing the names of people who would go to heaven and those who would burn in hell. He charged Ksh 1,000 to anyone who wanted to know their destiny, and many people flocked to his church to find out whether their names were in the book of life.

Now, Wahome has made a comeback with a Mercedes G-Wagon, which is the same car that President Uhuru Kenyatta drives when running his private errands. According to bazaars in town, the vehicle retails for around Sh26 million and above, depending on the year of make and the features requested by the clients.

The German-made Mercedes G-Wagon is touted as one of the safest cars in the world, which explains its high price tag that has made it unaffordable for many individuals in Kenya. Other prominent people who drive the same make locally include Citizen TV’s Jeff Koinange and lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi.
