Governor Mutua in tears as he loses bid to transfer Lilian Ng’ang’a case to Machakos court.

The Machakos Governor has suffered a blow after a Nairobi court declared that it has the jurisdiction to hear two cases filed by his Ex-wife to bar him from selling her cars and company shares.

In his ruling, Millimani Senior Resident Magistrate, D.M kivuti denied Mutua any preliminary objections to have the cases transferred to a Machakos Court.

“The court lacks jurisdiction to hear and determine this matter on the basis of the value of the shares and stock in dispute,” Mutua had stated.

Lilian is fighting to retain her vehicle saying that she bought it with her own money seven years ago.

“The court lacks subject matter jurisdiction to hear and determine this matter on the basis that the plaintiff (Lilian) having pleaded marriage to the defendant (Mutua), the jurisdiction of this court is thus ousted under Division of Matrimonial Property Act 2013,” reads the court papers.

Lilian also claims that her vehicle was forcibly driven out of her apartment after she issued a statement in regards to the governor few days ago.
