The street signboard named after cotu secretary-general francis atwoli has been vandalised again and set ablaze by unknown person’s.
According to photographs shared on social media, the vandals used car tyres and papers to burn the signage which was reinstated about a week ago.
Commenting on the incident that’s suspected to have happened on the wee hours of Tuesday, June 15, the trade unionist pronounced a curse upon the vandals announcing they may be haunted forever.
“Bringing down a honorary road sign under my name doesn’t hurt me, on the flip side it will haunt for life those who are behind it. How do you sleep at night knowing that you are a vandal? posed Atwoli.
While sneering the incidence, he said that his name was already everywhere in the world and one doesn’t need street signage to know who he was.
“My name is all over the world, one doesn’t require street signage to know who Francis Atwoli is. The name will live in posterity taking into account my years of selfless service to the workers in Kenya and the world,” he added.
