“Emmanuel Ngetich: The Billionaire Behind Kitengela’s Lavish Club 034 – A Boeing Turned Nightlife Marvel”

Emmanuel Ngetich, the visionary behind Club 034, is making waves in Kenya’s entertainment industry with a groundbreaking concept that has captured nationwide attention. By transforming a decommissioned Boeing 720 into a one-of-a-kind club experience, Ngetich has reimagined nightlife in an unforgettable way.

The iconic aircraft, once stationed at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for years, was acquired from Kenya Airways (KQ). Despite being over 50 years old, it was meticulously transported to Kitengela — a 25-kilometer journey escorted by police outriders — signaling the start of its stunning reinvention.

Ngetich drew inspiration from a trip to Bangkok, where he encountered the Chang Chui creative hub, built around a grounded Lockheed TriStar. Fascinated by the fusion of art, dining, and entertainment, he set his sights on replicating that magic back home.

Now renamed Na-Oh, the airplane has been repurposed into a “grounded flight” experience, offering guests an immersive culinary and entertainment adventure. Ngetich aims to inject the same vibrant energy he witnessed in Bangkok into Kenya’s social scene.

The aircraft cost Ksh 1 million, but transporting it cost even more. Flash Mwatha, the lead engineer behind the redesign, estimates the total cost of acquisition and refurbishment at between Ksh 6 million and Ksh 8 million.

Today, Club 034 stands proudly as a landmark in Kajiado County, accommodating up to 100 patrons in a layout that mirrors an actual flight: a VVIP cockpit lounge, a VIP business class section, and an economy class for regular guests. A red carpet entrance adds to the exclusive feel, while the interior retains its aviation charm.

Outside, visitors are treated to an “airport” ambiance with tents and seating on a makeshift runway. Inside, meals are prepared in the plane’s kitchen, and waitresses dressed as flight attendants enhance the in-flight illusion.

Conveniently located just 3 kilometers from Kitengela town along the Nairobi–Namanga highway, Club 034 caters to a diverse crowd — from families to partygoers. It’s particularly famous for its mouthwatering nyama choma, with adults also enjoying their choice of whiskey or beer in the uniquely themed space.

In blending innovation, nostalgia, and culinary excellence, Club 034 has redefined what it means to dine and unwind in Kenya, setting a new benchmark in the country’s entertainment landscape.
