Eastleigh: Inside Africa’s Largest Mall with 364 toilets, 32 Restaurants, 3,500 Shops and 12 banks in Kenya

The Business Bay Square (BBS) Mall in Eastleigh Nairobi is set to transform the retail landscape in Kenya. This mixed-use development project is a world-class, interactive and integrated shopping destination, designed to deliver the ultimate shopping experience. With 3,500 shops catering to both local and international brands, it is set to become the largest mall in East and Central Africa.

BBS is expected to host 150,000 visitors daily and has been equipped with all the necessary amenities to ensure a seamless shopping experience. This includes 2,200 parking spaces, 32 restaurants, 364 toilets, and 12 banks. The mall restaurants will offer a diverse range of food and beverage options, and customers in a hurry will even be able to enjoy their meal from the comfort of their cars.

In addition to shopping, BBS will also offer a range of healthcare facilities, with three major hospitals providing consultation, pharmacies, laboratories, diagnosis, and treatment services for outpatients. A seven-star hotel with a modern minimalist design is also planned, with capacity for 130 to 150 rooms.

Shoppers will also have the opportunity to rent luxurious apartments within the mall, with one and two-bedroom serviced apartments, as well as three-bedroom luxury apartments available. Other facilities offered at BBS include a mosque, entertainment venues, office spaces, events and exhibitions, and kid-friendly play areas.

The mall aims to achieve outstanding customer service and a reliable online shopping platform with e-commerce capabilities. The first phase of the project is 90% complete, with the second phase, comprising the hotel and service apartment towers, set to commence once the first phase is finished.

Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria recently visited the mall and declared that it is ready for use at the heart of the bustling Eastleigh area. BBS is poised to offer a one-stop center for commerce and is set to revolutionize the retail experience in Kenya.
