DOES GERRARD HOLD THE FASTEST RED CARD IN THE HISTORY OF FOOTBALL?

The eagerly awaited barclays premier league  game between Manchester United and Liverpool

The eagerly awaited barclays premier league  game between Manchester United and Liverpool on sunday saw some amazing goals and some not very common moments.

Steven gerrard is a remarkably known liverpool player who has been in the club for most of his football career. He however did not even get the chance to make a touch to the ball on their sunday game against Manchester United. He was sent off after being in the pitch for only 38 seconds. Its funny to say this but it might be one of the fastest send offs in the history of football if not the fastest.

Sincerely speaking, how can you walk into the pitch after being substituted just after halftime only to reach the mid-field and get a red card for assaulting a player?

Although an experienced player such as Gerrard ought to have done better than what he did,the referee was a little bit harsh. The tackle was not so bad. The referee should have considered giving the player a yellow card and not a straight red.
