Comedian Dr. Ofweneke has urged those close to the late Betty Bayo’s daughter, Sky, to temporarily take away her phone and limit her presence on social media.
Speaking on Thursday, Ofweneke said the 13-year-old needs space to grieve privately following her mother’s death.
“Sky Kanyari’s phone needs to be taken away,” he stated. “We need to let the kid grieve just like any other person. It is not time to release Sky to the world yet.”
The comedian noted that Sky is bright, outspoken and bubbly—traits she shares with her father—but insisted that this is a sensitive period that requires careful handling.
He called on Pastor Victor Kanyari and Hiram Gitau, popularly known as Tash, to protect Sky from public pressure while it is still early.
