Chef Maliha Mohammed Cooks for 150 Hours Setting New Guinness World Record for Longest Cooking Marathon -Congratulations

Kenyan chef Maliha Mohammed has secured a remarkable feat by clinching the Guinness World Record for the lengthiest cooking marathon performed by an individual. She achieved this milestone by continuously cooking for an impressive duration of 150 hours and 11 seconds.

This outstanding accomplishment surpasses the previous record set by Irishman Alan Fisher on November 7, 2023, who had held the record at 119 hours, 57 minutes, and 16 seconds. Maliha’s dedication and endurance were put to the ultimate test during the challenging six-day marathon, where she exhibited both mental and physical strength to surpass existing limits.

Expressing her triumph on social media, Maliha extended her gratitude to everyone who supported her throughout this challenging endeavor. She referred to herself as “the lion, the conqueror, the champion,” emphasizing the significance of achieving the 150-hour record. Maliha’s message on social media reflected her appreciation for the spectators, especially the Kenyan audience who witnessed this historic moment, concluding with an inspiring note: “Remember, be phenomenal or be forgotten!”

In an interview, Maliha disclosed that embarking on this marathon was one of the most demanding yet fulfilling experiences in her culinary career. Each second felt like an eternity, presenting both a challenge and an opportunity to push beyond established boundaries. Maliha acknowledged the collective effort of Kenyans from diverse backgrounds, emphasizing that this achievement was not just a personal triumph but also a celebration of the resilience inherent in every individual.

Maliha had previously garnered attention in August for completing a remarkable 90-hour and 15-minute home kitchen cooking marathon, surpassing the record set by Rickey Lumpkin II from Los Angeles, California. Despite these culinary achievements, Maliha is awaiting official recognition from the Guinness World Records (GWR).

Congratulations to Chef Maliha on this extraordinary accomplishment, marking not only a personal triumph but also a testament to the indomitable spirit and perseverance within us all.
