DCI sleuths in Homa-Bay County are trying to fix a jig into the murder of a 23-year-old lady who was found killed inside her rental house in Oriang area, Homa-Bay.
The lady identified as Emily Chepkemoi who was a student of KMTC was reported missing on Friday, June 2.
Her body was found lifeless inside her house by her neighbors.
“I saw her on Friday afternoon as she walked into the compound. Since then, I have never seen her until her body was found inside the house,” said Malvin Otieno, a local.
They said that they got alarmed after a stinky smell emanated from her house and upon opening the door, they were met with the boly lying cold dead on the bed.
Confirming the incident, Area Assistant Chief, Dancun Oketch said that the victim had several stabs.
“The boyfriend who is believed to have gone into hiding is being pursued by the police,” Okech said.
