The previous weekend brought about a curious situation involving the well-known media personality. On Saturday, August 19, 2023, Mwakideu was seen at Radio 47, leading to speculation that he might be transitioning to the new station shortly after announcing his departure from Milele FM. However, he swiftly clarified the situation, explaining that he had been present at the station as an invited guest. He then assured his audience that he would be staying with his former station.

During his tenure at Milele FM, Mwakideu co-hosted the morning show alongside Jacquey Nyaminde, also known as Wilbroda.

Mwakideu is one of several journalists who have recently joined the Cape Media-owned station, a strategic move aimed at revitalizing the station’s identity and establishing a prominent presence in the industry.

In a related development, former Citizen TV journalist Willis Raburu recently made his transition to TV47, marking another notable addition to the Cape Media network.
